Dr. Raid Abutalib

Biography

Dr. Raid is a consultant Orthopedic surgeon in the Department of Orthopedics surgery, Prince
Mohammed bin Abdulaziz National Guard Hospital Al Madinah, he is also appointed as an adjunct
professor of leadership and health care management, College of Medicine Al Faisal University, Riyadh.
He was appointed as Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at King Fahad Hospital, level 1 trauma center in Al
Madinah.
He also served as the head of the Orthopedic training program and trains residents in sports medicine,
upper limb arthroscopic reconstructive surgery and arthroplasty.
He lectures nationally and internationally, and through his basic science and as a reviewer in clinical
research journals he has published articles in orthopedics.
Dr. Raid also holds several awards in the field of Orthopedic and leadership positions in national and
international orthopedic societies.
He received Master in Health care management (MHCM) from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland
institute of leadership.
Dr. Raid Abutalib is a Saudi Canadian fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specialized in sports
medicine, upper extremities Arthroscopic reconstruction and arthroplasty surgery at Dalhousie University,
Halifax, Canada.
He is currently a member of SICOT Sports committee (The International Society of Orthopedic Surgery
and Traumatology). He is involved in numerous education programs in the field of Orthopedic and Sports
Medicine
