Biography
Dr Pyne is a Consultant Rheumatologist and Clinical Director of Rheumatology at Barts Health NHS Trust, London. Dr Pyne graduated from Cambridge University (preclinical) and Barts and The Royal London Medical School (clinical) with Distinction. He undertook his junior doctor training in London and gained his consultant qualifications in both Rheumatology and General Medicine in 2004. He has extensive experience in dealing with general rheumatological problems including Spinal pain, Arthritis, Tendinopathy, Soft tissue injuries, Gout, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia as well as multisystem rheumatological disorders such as Lupus and inflammatory arthritis. Additionally he has had a subspeciality interest in Sports Medicine for over 2 decades , running sports injury clinics and being involved in the multidisciplinary Sports and Exercise clinical service at Barts Health . He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of London for Sports Medicine where he teaches on the MsC course in Sports and Exercise.
