Dato’ Dr. Gurcharan Singh (Malaysia)
Dato’ Dr. Gurcharan Singh (or Dato’ Guru), sports medicine physician with over 35 years of involvement in sports medicine and anti-doping programs in Malaysia and internationally. He Chairs the AFC Medical Committee and Hon. Director of the Sports Medicine Unit.
A registered sports medicine physician on the National Specialist Register, Ministry of Health, Malaysia and admitted to the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia, has contributed vastly towards the development of sports science and medicine in Malaysia and Asia through education, conferences and research.
He is a member of FIFA Medical Committee & FIFA TUE Advisory Group; FIFA Panel of Instructors for Sports Medicine and F-MARC. He is credited for launching several international postgraduate sports medicine programs and either chairs or member of several sports bodies – Olympic Council of Malaysia, World Badminton Federation, World Kabaddi Association, Adamas to name a few. Officiated at several Olympic Games, World Cups, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games etc.
